Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

This policy covers getritual.app and its waitlist. Ritual isn't on the App Store yet; when it is, the app will have its own privacy policy, published here.

Who we are

Ritual is made by Louis Baverstock, who is responsible for your information (the "controller" under UK data protection law). You can reach him at hello@getritual.app.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store:

That's all. We don't ask for your name, and we don't collect anything else about you.

Why we use it

Only to email you about Ritual becoming available: when places in the beta open, and when it's on the App Store, with your founding price. We won't send you anything else, and we never sell or share your email with anyone for their own use.

We rely on your consent, which you give by joining. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@getritual.app or replying to any email we send, and we'll delete your details.

Where it's kept

The waitlist is stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which hosts this site. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires for international transfers. Like any web host, Cloudflare also handles technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

How long we keep it

Until we've told you Ritual is available, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Whatever happens, we delete the waitlist within 12 months of launch.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't set cookies or use any analytics or advertising trackers.

The only thing stored on your device is by the walkthrough, which runs a demo of the app in your browser. To work, it keeps its demo data (an invented account) in your browser's storage. None of it is about you, and it never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email hello@getritual.app and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
